Step 1Drill begins with ball in the right slot and 2 defenders with 2 offensive players. On the pass to the coach, the passer moves to set a screen as in 4 MAN FLEX.Step 2The cutter 2 must make a read based on how the defender is going to play defense. There are 3 reads: Pop, Curl, and Fade.Step 3The option is the POP CUT when the defender is playing off and does a good job of fighting over the screen. The POP CUT sets up all the other cuts. The down screener should always flash to the ball after the screen. POP CUT if defender plays off of the offensive player.Step 4This time the defender, X2 plays tight to the offensive player and the cutter CURLS TIGHT to the rim. The screener must change his angle for the screen. After EVERY down screen, the screener should open up to the ball for the post up. CURL CUT if defender plays tight to the offensive player.Step 5This time the defender, X2 anticipates the down screen and plays in the lane. The 2 FADE CUTS to the corner for the shot. The screener must change his angle for the screen. After EVERY down screen, the screener should open up to the ball for the post up. FADE CUT if the defense is playing below the offensive player.Step 61 will pass to first coach and go to set the down screen. The cutter will verbally call out the type of cut they are making, either a POP, CURL, or FADE cut. The screener will FLASH to the ball based on the call. 1 coach with the ball passing to the SCREENER. Coach without the ball will pass to the CUTTER. 2 Man 2 Ball Shooting DrillStep 71 will pass to first coach and go to set the down screen. The screener will FLASH to the ball based on the call. 1 coach with the ball passing to the SCREENER. Coach without the ball will pass to the CUTTER.Step 9One advantage of coming off the down screen is the offensive player's option to catch the ball and rip through to the rim. Work on this during individual improvement-SPRINT to the BALL, RIP below your knees, and FINISH. Change up your finishes from floaters, layups, and jumpstops.Step 10Read the defense on the drive. After the sprint and rip through to the rim, the defender X5 steps over to stop the drive and the driver makes a bounce pass for the score. If the corner defender helps then make that pass.Step 11This time the corner defender stops the ball and the driver kicks and replaces the corner for the drive or the shot by 2. 5 has weakside rebounding position.Step 12We breakdown the TRIPLE offense using this drill. 2 coaches with the ball in the left slot. The 2 options are: 1. Pass to the corner then into the post and 2. pass to the High Post for the HI/LOW. The second coach passes to the other player for the shot.Step 13Corner Pass - 2 hits the post this time and the 4 will make a post move to score. 5 will either catch and shoot or drive to the opposite side of the rim for the layup. 1st Option-Feed the baseline post 2nd Pass-Feed the high post for the shot or driveStep 14Corner Pass - this time the 2 drives baseline and the post makes an I CUT up the lane to create space for the pass. The driver can either finish at the rim or pass to the 4 for the short jumpshot. The second pass to the 5 will either shoot the jumpshot or drive to the opposite side of the rim. 2nd Option - Baseline Drive 2nd Pass-Feed the high post for the shot or driveStep 151st Pass-Hi post will look for the post player.Step 16Teach 4 to reverse pivot and seal if the defender is playing on the high side.Step 17Teach 4 to step in and seal if the defender is playing behind
