Step 1After the post (5) has passed out to the wing (2), if the wing (2) cannot pass to the top of the key (4) then the option is to dribble up. The 2 dribbles at 4 and looks to get a backdoor into the middle of the key. Remember that on the pass out, the 5 starts to move to the elbow position. This movement creates space for the pass to be made to the cutting 4 for the layup. The 4 was denied and should be open, but if not, fills the vacated wing position left available by the dribble up by the 2. The 1 rotates to the guard position while the 3 rotates up to the wing position. We are now in CHIN.Step 2After the dribble up by the 2, the pass is made to the 1, and then the ball is entered to the wing to the 3. After the pass from the 1 to the 3, the 2 makes a weakside UCLA cut to the rim looking for the pass and a layup.
