Jacksonville Transition step 1
Step 13 offensive lines start in the middle with 2 defensive lines on the outside - the 3 middle lines do a 3 man weave to the other end for a score (have to make it) - Meanwhile, the 2 defensive players sprint to a designated spot (half court, 3 quarter court, full court) and then sprint back for defensive transition
Jacksonville Transition step 2
Step 2Once the offense has scored on the opposite end, they fast break back (does not have to be a weave). Focus on pitching the ball up the sideline - The person with the ball sould look to stretch the defense by taking down to wing forcing one of the defenders to come guard the ball - The opposite wing fills the opposite wing - The trailer should fill the ball side block
Jacksonville Transition step 3
Step 3If there is no scoring opportunity at the wing, the wing should look to get the ball to the ball side elbow - The person at the elbow can look to do the following: 1. Shoot if the help defender stays at the rim 2. Pass to the back side cutter if the help defender comes up to defend the ball 3. Drive and score / dish - If the help defender starts to cheat up, the wing should look to make a direct pass to the cutting weak side wing
Jacksonville Transition step 4
Step 4Once there is a score, turnover, or defensive rebound, the 2 defensive players will transition to offense. - The person who scored, shot the last shot (missed), or turned the ball over is now the new defender in transition
