Step 15 can dribble to either wing in the 5 Out set. The wing dribbled to can read and go over 5 to shoot the 3, but in this case, the 3 cuts backdoor for the layup as the 1 fills the wing position. The 5 does not dribble far outside of the lane lines extended to keep the spacing.Step 2The High School version of this offense has the 5 man pass to the wing then UCLA cut off of the 3 man to the block. This gets the post back in their familiar position. The 3 man fills the position vacated by the 5 man above the 3 point line. In the high school version, players only have to learn 1 position. Choose a few players to learn the POST position, and let the rest of them play the perimeter positions.Step 3There are two transitions into new phases that can occur at this point. On the DRIBBLE to the top, the play CHIN is keyed. The 4 fills the guard spot, the 2 fills the wing spot, the 3 fills the wing spot, and the 1 has dribbled to the other guard spot to pass the ball guard to guard. The 5 is the post now and is ready to screen at the elbowStep 4Instead of dribbling to the top, the 1 PASSES to the top. This keys POINT and the 3 has three options to run from here. Away, Over, and Under are the 3 options depending on the cut by 3. The 4 fills the wing spot ready to execute POINT
