Step 1This play begins the same as the high school version, but Air Force uses this opportunity to change out the POST position. In their system, all 5 players have to learn to play all positions. The wing (3) cuts backdoor for the layup as the 1 fills the wing position. The 3 becomes the new post player and the 5 becomes the new perimeter player.Step 21 has the ball on the wing and the 3 is now playing the post position. The 5 sets a fake screen for the 4 who sprints to the 5 then executes a hard backcut to the basket. If the ball is in the post at this point, the 4 will have a layup. However, if the post is not open, the 1 passes to the top as the weakside players exchange positions. With the ball on the wing, we have 3 WING OPTIONSStep 3The ball is on the wing and then passed into the low post. This keys the LOW set which will be covered later. At this point, it is important to know that this is the key for the LOW set.Step 4From this point we are back in a familiar position. The PASS to the top keys POINT. Pass Up = Point - OUA Series
