These BLOB set plays are baseline out of bounds sets, run with the ball under your own basket. Five start from the box, one from the corner look, and Detroit 1 has no named look. Five are drawn against man-to-man, Box Series vs Zone is drawn against a zone, and Bounce works against either. This page draws 7 sets, each with its type, its action and every diagram frame in order.
For the full menu of baseline sets and the defenses they face, see baseline out of bounds plays. For sideline and baseline together, start at basketball inbound plays.
How to Read These BLOB Set Diagrams
Each set is drawn frame by frame, and the line under each diagram says who moves and where. The basket is at the bottom of every diagram. Sides are named as a player sees them facing the basket, so the left wing is on the right side of the picture. A solid arrow is a cut, a dashed arrow is a pass, a wavy line is a dribble and a line ending in a short bar is a screen. The diagram guide covers every symbol.

STS (screen the screener) from box
Type: Baseline out of bounds | Look: box | Against: man
4 and 5 pop to the corners while 3 screens for 2. The ball goes in to 5, and 5 swings it to 3. Then 2 screens down for 1, and 1 also gets a pin-down from 5.
Bounce
Type: Baseline out of bounds | Look: box | Against: man or zone
3 inbounds to 5 in the corner. The ball swings to 1. 4 back screens for 5, and 5 cuts into the lane. Then 4 cuts to the corner of the backboard for the lob.
Detroit 1
Type: Baseline out of bounds | Against: man
3 sprints to the corner. 5 seals the far block. 4 screens for 2. In the second part, 1 passes to 3 and comes off a down screen from 5.
BLOB Box 3
Type: Baseline out of bounds | Look: box | Against: man
3 pops out as the safety. 2 sets a diagonal screen and 4 goes to the far box. 5 screens for 2 at the elbow, then 5 cuts to the wing or corner.
Box Series vs Zone
Type: Baseline out of bounds | Look: box | Against: zone
2 and 3 cut to the corners. 5 screens the middle man in the zone. 4 cuts to the hole for the jumper.
Corner 5, 1, 4, 2
Type: Baseline out of bounds | Look: corner | Against: man
2 curls for a quick layup. 4 curls right after. 5 screens for 1, and 1 cuts into the paint and back out off the screen. 5 slips to the rim.
Two Inside
Type: Baseline out of bounds | Look: box | Against: man
4 up screens for 1, and 1 goes to the corner. 2 cuts to the slot. Then 5 screens 4's man, so 4 cuts to the weak side for the layup. If that is taken, 5 seals for the post.
