Sources
Pages are built from a research library of coaching clinics, books, team playbooks, practice plans and video sessions. When sources teach the same situation two different ways, the page shows both and says when each one fits. Claims that only one source makes, or that cannot be checked, are left out.
Original work
We explain every system in our own words and draw every diagram ourselves in our own play editor. We do not copy another site's text or diagrams. Named systems that belong to a program, such as the Pack Line, are named. General techniques are taught without credit to any one coach.
Rules pages
Rules differ between high school (NFHS), college (NCAA), the NBA and FIBA. Every rules page is checked against the current rulebooks and labels the level each rule applies to. If a rule changes, the page is updated and the updated date on the page changes.
Diagrams
Offense is shown in orange and defense in navy, with the ball handler holding the ball. Movement, passes, dribbles and screens use the symbols on How to Read Our Diagrams.
Updates and corrections
Each page shows the date it was published and, when its content changes, the date it was updated. Corrections are made on the page itself.
