Use Misdirection Flare when you want to manipulate help defenders with an initial cut before springing a flare screen for your best shooter. You start by cutting your five away, reverse the ball, and then use your five's screen to free a shooter curling off the flare on the opposite side. The misdirection off the first cut keeps weak-side help from anticipating the real action.
